PALMERSTON N., This Day.
The Manawatu ladies' golf championship final was played in a gale. The new champion is Miss Helean (Hastings), who beat Miss Horwell (Timaru) at the nineteenth after a thrilling game.
The other events were:— Hokawhitu . Plate. —Mrs. Collins (Featherston) beat Mrs. Park (Hutt), 2 up. .
Ekstedt Cup,—Miss Kilgour-Carter (Rangitikei) beat Mrs. Welton-Hogg (Wellington), 4 and 3.
Manawatu Handicap.—Miss K. Garner (Manawatu) beat Miss Rutledge (Manawatu), 5 and 4.
