A GARDEN PLEASURE

By courtesy of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gibbons, one of the show gardens of Lower Hutt, is to be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. daily from October 13 to 23. inclusive, in aid of the Petone Free Kindergarten.

Mrs. J. A. Doctor, president of the Wellington Free Kindergarten Association, will officially "open" the garden on Thursday, October 13, at 2,30 p.m. Afternoon tea will be served;.ln previous years numerous appreciative visitors, including well-known authorities, have expressed delight in the particularly fine blooms and the glorious vistas of blossoming trees. All garden lovers are urged to take advantage of this opportunity to wander in such lovely surroundings. A small admission charge will be made. j
