USE OF MONEY

The policy of the Labour Government had become apparent at Christmas, 1935, Mrs. C. S. Stewart, Labour candidate for. Wellington West, told electors last night. One of the first things the Government had done was to give a bonus to the unemployed and that money had caused a peaceful revolution. : It was spent on things that were needed and the unemployed were happier. Others "were also made happier because the money went around and enabled others to buy. Money was only a token, and if it did not go round it was useless, and that was realised by the Labour Government.
