PRIVATE HOSPITAL COSTS
1 The provision for hospital benefits under the Social Security Act would not prevent those who preferred private hospital treatment from securing it, said Mrs. C. S. Stewart, Labour candidate for Wellington West, at her meeting last evening. If a person went to a private hospital the hospital benefit would be paid and all the patient would have to pay would be the extra charge of the hospital. "There is nothing wrong with that is there?" Mrs. Stewart said. "I think it is very fair indeed."
