CRICKET CLUB

COLLEGE OLD GIRLS

The sixth annual meeting of the Wellington College Old Girls' Cricket Club was held on Thursday evening. There was a particularly good attendance, including a number of presentday pupils. Miss I. Pickering was in. the chair.

It was stated that a particularly successful season was enjoyed last year on the field, socially, and financially. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—Patroness, principal Wellington College (Miss E. M. North); president, Mrs. Knox Gilmer; vice-presidents, Miss Isaac, Mr. and Mrs. F. Hatcher, Mrs. L. D. Taylor, Mr. W..0. Bock; Mr. Rogerson, Mr. P. Congreve, Mr. J. J. Sullivan, Mr. O. Murdoch, Miss L. Benbow, Mr. A. H. Bath; club captain, Miss I. M. Pickering (re-elected); hon. secretary and treasurer, Miss J. Yeatman (reelected); committee, Misses D. Hatcher, J. Stenberg, J. Oxley, and R. Spiers; delegates to Wellington Women's Cricket Association, Misses L. M. Pickering and J. Stenberg; coaches, Messrs. J. and R. Lamason,

It was decided to start practices immediately, and to hold the official opennig day with players and friends on October 15. Judging from the keenness displayed, the club should have another good season.
