AMIGO AT CAULFIELD

Amigo ran five furlongs easily in lmin ssec. He appears very fit.
Othello did a mile in lmin 44£ sec, the first six furlongs in lmin 16sec. He faced a head wind over the final stages. Beechwood, going well, ran a mile in lmin 43sec, the first seven furlongs; with Court Gossip in lmin 2Sisec. Ajax, hard held, ran six furlongs in lmin 20sec. Cassio did a mile in lmin 45sec. Ena, looking well, took lmin 47£ sec, and was not extended. Dannevirke ran five furlongs comfortably in lmin ssec. Nightguard and Spear Chief, who arrived from Sydney yesterday, worked steadily. They both travelled well.
