MARTON SALE.

The New Zealand Farmers' Distributing Company, Ltd. submitted a yarding of SUO sheep, 50 head of cattle, and 20 pigs at the Marton sale yesterday. The market for hoggets was firm and competition in this section was keen, but several .pens of breeding ewe^ failed to1 reach venders' reserves. The cattle entry consisted mostly of fat cows, ex dairy, with a few pens of store cattle, and these sold at market rates. Following are .the realisations:— Sheep: Best wether hogged, 19s 4d to 21s Id; good medium ewe lambs, to 24s 4d; fat wethers, 23s 9d to 295; forward ewes, 15s to 16s. Cattle: Forward steers, £8; .21-year P.A. steers £7; other sorts, £5 17s 6d; good fat cows, ex dairy, £5; medium sorts, £3 to £3 10s; forward cows, £2 10s; store cows, 20s to 32s 6d; rising two-year mcalf Jersey heifers, £4 10s; three-year ditto £5 16s; weaner Jersey heifers, £2 10s; dairy cows, £3 ss. Pigs: Small weaners, 4s 6d to 6s.
