WAIRARAPA CLEARING SALE.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., in conjunction with the New "Zealand. Farmers' Co-operative Distributing Company, Ltd., conducted a dispersal sale oi Mi. D L. Bourke's dairy herd at Hamua, near Pahiatua. The whole herd, consisting of 84 cows,1 was offered to a large attendance of buyers from Manawatu and Wairarapa. Best sorts, calvin" early, made up to £lb- including unsound and empty cows, the average for the herd was £9 7s 6d. Defai?ed°prices are as follows:-Bestsorts £10 10s to, £16; later calvers, £8, to £12 10s1 cows, in milk, £6 to £b lUs, unsound cows, £3 10s to £4; five-year Ksht gelding, £43 10s. Sows in pig, £3 to £.5 ss.
