MILK IN SCHOOLS
The headmaster of the Karori School was asked by a householder at a meeting last night for information as to the working of the;milk, supply scheme. The reply was that 626 bottles-were supplied, and only 3 or'4> per cent, of the pupils refrained'from their quota. A peculiar feature, was that it was the girls in -Standards V and VI who were,'in the main, the non-participants. One householder expressed the opinion that the reason was possible because the girls were afraid of putting on condition.
