ENJOYABLE PARTY

• Mrs. Q. Crewdson was hostess at an enjoyable party in the Mokoia Hall recently, when a large number of friends gathered to honour her. daughter, Kathleen.

An excellent orchestra provided the music for dancing, which occupied the greater part of the evening. An exhibition dance was given by Mr. Jimmy James and Miss Iris Wakeford, and songs by Miss Lily Charles and tap dances by Miss Thelma Wakeford were much appreciated. Supper was held in a gaily-decorated room, where colourful asters and chrysanthemums had been tastefully arranged on the tables. The Rev. "Father Gilhooly proposed a toast of good will to Miss Crewdson, to which she suitably replied. Mr. E. Harvey was M.G. The party was brought to a close by the singing .of "She's a Jolly Good Fellow" and "Auld Lang Syne."

Among those present were:—The Rev. Father Gilhooly; Mesdames E. Charles, Knox (2), H. Stanyon, T. Kilkelly, A. Wakeford, Simpson, V. Jones, H. Tyson, Quinn, and S. Gilberd; Misses L. Charles, K. and E. Knox, I. A. and T. Wakeford, E. Ambridge, E. Hemingway, W. Willis, M. McGill, and R. Morris; and Messrs. F. and T. Kilkelly, R. Harrington, E. Crewdson, Jimmy James, E. Harvey, E. Coster, B. Lancaster, L. Quinn, Simpson, E. Tingey, T. O'Connell, H. Stanyon, H. Craig, S. Gilberd, C. Webb.
