Covered stadiums to enable sports events to be carried on in bad weather ar.i recommended as part of the Government's programme for nationalising sport, in a report prepared by the council of the New Zealand Surf Lifesaving Association, states the "Press." "In view of the inclement weather experienced at a great many outdoor meetings in New Zealand," the report states," "the building of an indoor stadium should be considered for at least the main centres. In Wellington it might be possible to have one of the buildings for the coming Exhibition ear-marked for this' purpose.
