Stevenson, legal adviser; Mr. J. G. Harcourt, the board's valuer; the Rev.H. W. Newell; Sir Charles Norwood; and- Colonel G. Mitchell. ' ■ "- ■'

;.' During the evening an address, was given by Mr. Newell on aspects ot the Coronation.- : ■ , Mr.1: A. Fletcher proposed the toast of "The Guests," and Mr. Hanna and Mr. Fowler replied. ■ The toast of the executive officers was proposed by Mr. C. H. Chapman, M.P.,| and responded to by the general manager (Mr. A. G. Barnett) and others. ■.■■■... .: Mr. T. R. Barrer proposed the toast of Mr. McGowan, who, in replying, said he had been a. member of the board', for fourteen years, and had thoroughly enjoyed his association with a very efficient local body.
