FOR PROSPECTIVE BRIDE
Several delightful pre-wedding- parties have been given in honour of Miss Zena Bright, ; whose marriage to Mr. Bernard A.: Weyburne takes place, this week.. The Misses Dorothy .and Margaret Casey were,hostesses at. a very pleasant "kitchen" afternoon at their home in Murphy Street. Mrs. Pratley's residence, Oban Street, was the scene of another. happy gathering of friends,, when Mesdames Pratley, Booth,'and McGrath gave a "linen" party-tor the bride elect. Old school friends of. St. Mary's College were present- and enjoyed the "gift" afternoon given by Mrs. P. H.1 Spiers at her home in Kelburn, where they took the opportunity of .' wishing Miss Bright every happiness. Yet "another afternoon was held at the Grand, Hotel by Misses" Margaret Hosk'ins. and Nancy Martindale, who carried1 out the duties of joint hostesses at a "linen" tea. Misses Dorothy. Dealy and Kitty Fagan entertained a large number of guests at a dance which took the form of a "pantry" tea .held at .the Gwenneth Walsh Studio." After: a .delicious savoury•supper had been served Mr. P. Kennedy and Mr. H. Wilson made a presentation of an inscribed dinner wagon from the members of the Sacred Heart Tennis Club to the gaged, couple. : Mr." 8.. A. , Weyburne responded, thanking the hostesses for the very enjoyable evening■ they had arranged, aiso the guests and members of the tennis club for their very useful gifts. ,; ... :.■■ ; .;-; :"■ .","■
