FAREWELL EVENING

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Gapes, Karori, was recently a scene of mirth and melody- on the occasion of a send-off ; party for their son, Mr. James ; Gapes, who is leaving Wellington shortly to take up a position in the New Zealand Royal Air Force. Dancing .was the order of the evening, together with amusing games, conjuring, and community singing. ,A delicious homemade buffet supper was. served, and best: wishes and congratulations . were offered; to the guest of honour, who responded amidst much applause.
