GROWING IN FAVOUR

In the South Island and Taranaki, according to*. Mr. J.: Hargest, M.P. for Awarua,: there is evidence. of ,a, .turning of the tide of feeling away from the Labour Party. In the Taranaki and Taihape districts, he said, he found a strong feeling running in the direction of the - National Party owing to small farmers being faced with,a low guaranteed'price and rising costs they were unable to pass on.
