APOLLO SINGERS AND ORCHESTRA.

Tonight in the Concert Chamber the Apollo Singers will present their second subscription concert of the 1936 season. Associated with the choir will be an orchestra of twenty-three players from St. Patrick's College, Silverstream, who will be heard in a number of orchestral selections and marches including "Pomp and Circumstance March in D" (Elgar) and "Three Dances from Ballet Music" (Faust). The singers and orchestra together will render some well-known choruses, including the "Anvil Chorus" ("II Trovatore"), "Soldiers' Chorus" ("Faust"), "Sailors' Chorus" ("Flying Dutchman"), and "Pilgrims' Chorus" ("Tannhauser"). In addition the Choir will give some entirely new part-songs, including the beautiful negro spiritual "Were You There?" (Bantock), "Song of the Pedlar." and the "Ballad of Olaf Tryygason." Tenor solos will be given by P. Martin and bass solos by J. M. Caldwell. The choir will be conducted by H. Temple White and the orchestra by the Rev. Father C. F. Feehly. Mrs. R. G. Craigou will be the accompanist.
