TWO STRINGS
GRAND MOGUL/SCCARD
The Metropolitan Trotting Club's acceptances have not'cleared, the air for early speculators, because,; although Grand Mogul, who was nominated for three races has been allowed to drop out of the sprint, he still holds his I ground in the 4min 34sec class as well as the August Handicap. : ■. ' From 6l)yds in the looser "event he would probably find it an easier race to win. The opinion has been expressed before that the field for this event is not as strong &s it could be, and, with the exception of Bonny Azure, Bingen Palm, and possibly Noble Prince, it is not strong m staying qualities. Grand Mogul has proved a good horse when racing in front, and this is one of the main reasons for his favouritism for the August Handicap.' It is^safe to assume that Grand Mogul's absence from the field for the principal event on Saturday would cause a major sensation among speculators Vviio are wont to indulge in the coupling of another "leg" with the main fancy.
