Up to1 the beginning of last month, i the two-year-old filly Godley E. had not been beaten in America in her eight races. She went through' the circuits in Florida and Maryland-and had just won in New York. She has won three main races, including the Rosedale Stakes, and a total of over 13,000 .dollars. This seems to be a fair return for a filly who was sold for ■150 dollars as a yearling. She is described as the best of the two-year-olds, although the general quality is 'not rated highly.
