WOMAN WITH CHINESE
DUNEDIN OPIUM CASE

DUNEDIN, This Day.
An unsavoury feature of an opiumsmoking case in the Police Court today was that a young woman had been found in night attire in the backyard of Chinese premises. Chun Yeun (28) was fined £30 for being in possession of opium.
The police visited the accused's place at South Dunedin ■at ,9.15 p.m. on July 22, and in an upstairs bedroom found a woman's clothing. Search revealed opium seconds, pipe, and slush lamp. After a further search, a woman, aged 27, was found as described. She admitted intending to spend the night with the accused.
