WORSER 'BAY CLUB
The Worser Bay Club greets the coming season with a fleet of a dozen one-design boats of the Idle-Along class, a class which has proved itself in Worser Bay to be far superior to any other of the same length, writes a correspondent. There is no doubt that one-design racing is much more preferable to a system where boats of varying dimensions and shapes are competing, and which imposes difficulties on the handicapper often unappreciated by the competitors. A new Idle-Along class boat, the Valkyrie, will be in the water by opening day. The Pukeko, tho champion boat of Wellington in this class, has changed hands, and (without it is hoped affecting her future performances), will be renamed the Antoinette. Tho Spinet has been sold to Plimmerton, while tho owner of the Suzette has acquired a sudden taste for launches and sold her to Evans Bay. Opening day, which was tentatively fixed for November 3 has been altered to November 10.
