HERETAUNCA'S PROGRESS
Speaking at the annual meeting of the Heretaunga Boating Clu.j the commodore, Mr. W. Biddle, stated that the club was in an excellent position financially owing to the untiring energy of both the men's and ladies' committees, the members of which had done yeoman service. The following officers wero elected: —President, Mr. McEwen;-com-modore, Mr. Biddlp; vice-commodore, Mr. Entwistle; rear-commodore, Mr. A. G. Harvey; hon. secretary, Mr. D. Young; treasurer, Mr. C. Garroud; committee, Messrs,. Gjersen, Tetley, Eeid, Aldred, Nissen, and Dugan; canteen secretary, Mr. Gjerseu; judge and starter, Mr. Dugan; timekeeper, Mr. Gjerscn; racing committees, Messrs Harvey, Young, and Tetloy (sail), Messrs. Andrews, Eeid, and Garroud (power). It was decided to hold the official opening of the club and the presentation of prizes on November 3 at 2.30 p.m., and the club takes this opportunity of inviting all those interested to be present. A dance will be held in tho 'evening.
