(Special to the " Evening Post.") CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The South Canterbury Jockey Club will hold its spring meeting today. Gopd fields] ! are engaged in all the events. The Tesche' maker Handicap is confined chiefly to NewZealand Cup candidates. The old one-pool system of betting will be in force, with two dividends. The following horses may be fancied: — Otaio Hurdles: Gold Knight, Lycidas, and Black Duke. Spring Stakes: Coat of Arm's and Trumpet Blast. ' Wash dyke Trot:. Iraq, Subsidy, and Sage King. Teschemaker Handicap: Polydora, Sweet Agues, and Argentic. ' Tycho Hack Handicap.—Elbanor, Top Rank, and Rebel Chief. Hadlow Trot: Don,ilda, Iraq, and Great Travis. ■
Kerrytown Hack Handicap: Hunting Go, Weatherly, and Colossian. Flying Handicap.—Knockfin, Cranford, and Silvox. .
