Bobrikoff, one of the most noted geldings to; race-.in New Zealand, met with, an accident; while running out at-rMr. T. H; Lowry*s stud farm in Hawke?s Bay jecently and he had to be destroyed. . Bredvby-.the: late Sir. H. Friedlander in 19M, Bobrikoff was .twenfy-nine years old. He.was.-a;great racehorse, winning the .Auckland; Cup ;ia ;1912 for Mr. Lowi-y, his other (successes' on that course including the Islington" Plate. He scored some notable triumphs.at Kiccarton, dead heating witkiGoldfinder, in" the Metropolitan Handicap," Resides . wiuning the> Jockey Club Handicap and the G. G. Stead Gold Cup twice. He was not brilliant out from the barrier, 'but, once ihtV his stride, he was an exceptional galloper.: ■
