A NEW MINISTER

KENT TERRACE CHURCH

The induction /service and welcome social to the Rev. Win. Gilmour will take place on Thursday evening at the Kent Terrace Presbyterian Church.-,. Mr. Gilmour's last charge was that of the Balmoral Church, Auckland, where he has just concluded a very successful ministry. His work amongst the Sunday school and Bible classes was outstanding, and particular attention was given to the aged amongst _the congregation. Mrs. Gilmour is an active worker in church circles, and has been for some time the president of the Mothers' Union in Auckland. The Rev. Mr. Gilmour comes of a family that has given many ministers to the church. His father, two uncles, and two of his brothers were ministers. He is of Irish stock, and will be the third minister of Kent Terrace, to hail from Ireland. The Rev. Dr. Kennedy Elliott, the founder of the church, and the Rev. James Baird, were fellow-countrymen.
