I DEATHS ON THE MOUNTAINS ! TOKIO, January 2 7,1 Severe weather and avalanches on the slopes of a volcano at Asaraa caused 23 deaths. A party of six who I were skiing perished. ' Many trains were held up, as snowploughs were unable to clear the tracks. Thousands of diggers are engaged.
