STRIKE IN CHINA
MARTIAL LAW DECLARED PEKING, January 28. Martial law was proclaimed in the coalmining districts at Tangshan, 80 miles northward of Tientsin, when tho majority of the Chinese-British' Kailan Mining Administration's 40,000 Chinese workers joined a strike which was started by a small group of colliers three weeks ago.
