CUTTER RACE ON HARBOUR
A cutter'race over a one-mile course was rowed pa- the harbour yesterday between a .crewfronv H.M.S. Veronica and two crews from the federal JLine steamer Cornwall. The Cornwall B cretin won by six lengths from Cornwall' A, .with the Veronica three lengths' behind in.third place. The course extended from the Floating Dock to the southern end. of the Pipitea Wharf, and the strong northerly wind .and' rough following sea:made :the conditions .difficult. . The i Cornwall has now won three" cutter races, during he? present stay in New^ Zealand. At Auckland her A crew beat a crew from H.M.S. Diomede by ten-length'sl atd'atiLyttelton. both A and B crews defeated the R.N.V.K. officers by the same margin.
