MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Police and summons cases in the Magistrate's Court today were dealt" with by Mr. E. Page, S.M. . Norman Gordon De Cent, aged 45, a plumber, pleaded guilty to wilfully and obscenely exposing himself.on the Vogeltown Hills, explaining to the police and ito the Court, through his counsel, that ho had given away to a sudden impulse. The Probation Officer (Mr. T. P. Mills) said that De Cent* previous character had been, very good, and he suggested a fine': "A fins of £20, in default two months' imprisonment, was imposed. For the theft of 7s 6d, the .property of A, D. Wylie, Harry Edward Phillips, aged 44, was fined £5, in default two months' imprisonments He is to refund the 7s 6d. ', A fine of £5 was imposed upon Thomas Sim for making a false statement to Unemployment Board officials to ttbtain employment. ' ' Percival James McLeod was. fined £3 for' failing to pay an emergency unemployment charge,' and was ordered to paycosts for a similar 'offence. He was fined £2 for failing to furnish a declaration of income other than salary or -wages, and wag ordered to pay cost* for. another offence of the same kind; ' . '
