YANGTZE RIVER STEAMER

OVER 150 PERISH

■ SHANGHAI, January 25. A river disaster is reported from Hankow. The Chinese steamer Weitung, plying on the Yangtze River, caught fire, causing a boiler explosion which precipitated more than 200 passengers into the- icy waters. The ship sank almost immediately. Tho death-roll exceeds 150. Many wero incinerated or suffocated.
