"PHARAOH'S CURSE"
LEGEND REVIVED
CRITICAL CASE IN NEW YORK
BOSTON, January 25. The legend of the' "Pharaoh's curse" was revived, today when it was revealed that Mr. Albert Lythgoe, curator emeritus of the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, is in hospital here suffering fronv a baffling malady. Mr. Lythgoe was present when Lord Carnarvon opened the tomb of Tutankhamen. His condition is critical. A London mossago, dated January 3, stated the death had occurred of Mr. Arthur Weigall, aged 63, the Egyptologist, following a mysterious ill- j ness of six months. The '.'Daily Mail" remarked upon the coincidence of the j number"of deaths of those present at the opening of Tutankhamen's tomb. ■
