Party at Lower Hutt. In honour of Miss Betty Trescder, a most enjoyable party was held recently at her residence, Lower Hutt, when a pleasant evening was spent by a large number of friends in dancing and games. Miss Phyllis Martin sang. A delicious savoury supper was served; Miss Trescder was assisted in the entertainment of her guests by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Treseder, and her sister, Miss Nora.- Treseder. Smith. , . . ~\ , Sale of Work. , . : • - . A s|le of work organised by tho Cambridge Terrace Congregational Ladies' Guild will be opened on Wednesday afternoon by Mrs. G. W. .Forbes. There will bo a good variety of stalls well stocked with attractive goods, and tho sale will continue throughout Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon and evening. There will be entertainments on both evenings. Island Bay Bridge Party. A very enjoyable bridge party was held'recently by the Island Bay branch of the Flunked Society, in the pavilion of the Island Bay Bowling Club. Tho rooms, were charmingly decorated with coloured streamers and large bowls of spring flowers, .and. the guests were received by ..the, secretary, Mrs. B. B. Bartleet, ;and- members of the committee. The prize for the highest, score was won by Mr. MeCort, and other prizes during the evening by Mrs. Piper and Miss Kedican..
