MR. H. P. KIDSON
RESIGNATION ACCEPTED
The resignation of Mr. H. P. Kidson ■was last, evening accepted with great regret by the Hutt Valley High School Board of Governors. The chairman, Mr. D. A. Ewen, said that it was with tho very deepest regret that he had received the resignation, but that at the same time he wished most heartily to congratulate Mr. Kidson on his • appointment as principal of the Otago Boys' High 'School, which was a school of the highest traditions. He would have further opportunity of saying what ho felt in regard to the services rendered to the school by Mr. Kidson, and would con-! tent himself at present with saying that under him the school had reached , a high state of efficiency and that its tone was of the very highest standard. Mr. Jas. Kerr endorsed tho chairman's remarks and said that the chief factor in a school's progress was that it should have a good start, and Mr. Kidsou had laid a foundation or^ which others would find it easy to build. Other members expressed similar sentiments and hoped that another opportunity would be given for the expression of opinions in regard to the services rendered by Mr. Kidson. Mr. Kidson will take up his new duties in February.
