REBELLION'S SEQUEL
A DUBLIN INCIDENT
DUBLIN, October 17. ' There was excitement in the Bank of Ireland when 52 employees of the Dublin Corporation, tvho were interned after tho rebellion at Easter, 1916, arrived in a body to cash cheques for wages withheld during thoir imprisonment. The cheques ranged from £110 to .£5. An armed sentry became suspicious, tinned out tho guard, and held up the men. Subsequently thojMvcre .admitted, but the cashiersl refused to pay the cheques as they were crossed, necessitating the summoning of a corporation official to overcome the difficulty. Tho cost of compensation falls on I f.lir ralrpnyors.
