ART STUDENTS' DANCE

FRENCH DOLL BALLET

A very enjoyable Art Students' dance was held recently in the library of the Technical College. The decorations were effectively carried out in the French colours, blue, white, and red, with large bowls of arum lilies and white broom. Gaily coloured French posters decorated the walls. The committee consisted of Misses V. Beere (who wore grey crinkled crepe, with blue cape), N. Horton (black and- white suede crepe with white cape), A. - Eeere (white satin beaute), M. Shoesmith (floral taffeta), and Dorothy Perlyns. A delightful ballet of French dolls was given by Misses Adrienne Beere, Ngaira Horton, Zelda Bedell, Brenda Boyes, 11. Travel's, and Marjorie Shoesmith. Towards the end of the evening oldtime dancing replaced the modern waltz and fox-trot, and the "Sir Eoger de Coverley," danced with great enthusiasm, brought another pleasant function to a close. Among those present were: —Mesdames Horton (flame georgette), Baldwin (green lace), Hornblow (white crinkled crepe); Misses B. Taylor, B. Stewart, N. Cable, M. Cook, M. Withers, K. Kempthorne, Lola Thompson, M. Geddes, B. Rigg, Lorna Thomson, B. Haines, I. ITyder, J. Chisholm, and J. Burdekin; Messrs. N. Isaac, J. Reid, G. Cable, It. Turner, L. Page, Bedell, D. Button, G. Barry, E. McSherry, J. Beere, E. Hornblow, J. Mitchell, Jasper Baldwin, and B. Cook.
