SOCIAL PROGRESS
KARORI GROUP MEET
Mrs. N. D. Hood presided at the annual meeting of the Karori group of the Women's Social Progress movement, which was held at the residence of Mrs. G. W. Guthrie, Old Karori Road. Mrs, Hood opened the meeting with prayer, and then gave a short address. The annual report was road and adopted, after which the election of officers took place. Mrs. N. D. Hood and Mrs. E. Beli were again elected president and secretary respectively. The present committee was re-elected with Mrs. F. A. Knight's name added. Kiss Crump, Ml A;,, gave- a very fine address on "The Spiritual Influence of Women in National Life." Miss McLean, C.B.E. and Miss Chay>peJl also spoke on various phases of the movement. Mrs. Gunn sang charmingly, and tea dispensed by the committee brought the meeting to a close. I
