R.S.A. DANCE AT SEATOUN

The Seatoun auxiliary, committee of the R.S.A. held its opening dance iv the Seatoun schoolroom this week. The function was greatly enjoyed, its originality providing much entertainment. A, .special feature of the evening'was a wartime aircraft display with bomb effect?, cleverly staged by Mr. C. A. Perry. There were other features depicting military activity during the war period, trenches and dug-outs being used with realism. . The Futurist Orchestra provided an excellent programme of music, the first half of which was devoted to wartime tunes. The players were attired in tin hats and military equipment. The ladies' committee worked very hard and provided a delicious supper. Among thosd present were Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Ramsey and Miss Ramsey, Colonel and Mrs. McQuarrio, Mr. and Mrs. J. Spcnce, Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Mann, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Bell, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Wixon, Mr. and Mrs. G. Kellaway, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Fanselow, Mr. and Mrs. H. MacFarlane, Mr. and Mrs. H. Pettit, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Perry, Mr. and Mrs. F. Tait, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Manthel, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Bentley... . • . • . ■ . - There were about 150 present, and the evening went with a merry swing, auguring well for future meetings.
