DANCE AT "LONGWOOD"

MR. AND MRS. D. RIDDIFORD

LARGE HOUSE PARTY

Visitors from AA Tellington and Wairarapa motored last evening to Featherstou, where they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. H. S. Riddiford, who gave a dance at "Longwood," in honour of their daughter, Miss Rosamond Eiddiford. Quantities of beautiful spring flowers decorated all. the rooms, branches of japonica and feathery blossom being artistically blended with bulbs of all kinds and flowering plants from the conservatory. Mrs. Riddiford wore v handsome draped frock of mushroom pink marocain. Miss Riddiford V debutante frock was of chiffon organza, the slightly stiffened material making a graceful flared skirt. A wide shoulder effect was given with a fichu capo, and cross bands of the material marked the hipline. She carried a bouquet of spring flowers from the gardens at "Longwood, "made for her by the head gardener. Mr. and Mrs. Riddiford had a large house party for the dance, among their guests being Mrs. Riddiford's sister, Mrs. John Rolleston (To Kuiti), who wore a black chiffon frock and lovely emerald ornaments.
