The large number _o£ entries made for New Zealand horses in Australian events to be. decided this spring necessitate Dominion-owners and tvainers keeping an eye out for forfeit dates. Owners of horses remaining in t*« JM> bourne ,Cup, Caulfield Cup, and Canta'a Stakes will become liable for the second payment for those races at 2 p.m. on Monday unless they have priorly been withdrawn. Tn regard to the A.J.C. Derby., Breeders Plato, and Gimeraek Stakes, the first forfeit of £1 for the Derby and the acceptance of £1 for the other races must bo paid before 4 p.m. on September 5. Horses not scratched are regarded, as acceptors for Australian races.
