PARTY AT LOWER HUTT
Mrs. Kettle and Miss Viola Kettle] entertained a. number of friends at a delightful bridge party yesterday afternoon at. their home at Lower Hutt. Long branches of primus blossom »nil long-stemmed camellias were arranged with charming effect in tho drawingroom, where "contract bridge" mid "solo" were played, and on tho tea table was a crystal bowl of poppies in a. soft shade of pink, which toned With the lamp and caudle shades. Mrs. Ke'ttlo wore .1 frock Of black crepe satin, and Miss Kettle was. in floral georgette in tones of blue and beige. Among tho guests were Mrs. Mason, Mrs. C. Moriee, Mrs. Christie, Mrs. G. A. Chapman, Mrs. W. Olphort, Mrs. C. AY. Salmon, Mrs. C. Tringham, Mrs. Godfrey, Mrs. Weston, Mrs. J. Brodie, Mrs. C. M. Malfroy, Mrs. Bryan Todd, Miss Butts, Miss Zita Chapman, and Miss Tonnant.
