WEDDING
EIX-TEOTT—GRIFFITHS. Tho wedding took place recently at the Holy Trinity Church, Tc Henui, New Plymouth, of Barbara Lucy (Peggy), elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eustaeius Griffiths, "Barton," Fitzroy, New Plymouth, and Noel Vincent, third son of Mrs. Kix-Trott and the late Mr. Henry Rix-Trott, of Wei-; lington. The church was beautifully decorated with golden daffodils, jonquils, sprays of fruit blossom, mauyc | kennedya, lanaria, and greenery, while each pew was charmingly marked with a cottage posy of marigolds, yellow wallflowers, 'arid'" grape hyacinths tied with deep cream bows. A beautiful floral wedding bell carried out in the same colour scheme was hanging in the porch.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore an exquisite filmy gown of old ivory Limerick lace, over softly gleaming satin. The moulded corsage had short capelet sleeves, and the waistline was defined by a sash and bow of ivory satin. The veil, also of Limerick lace, was worn far back on the head, and was encircled with a trftil of cream flowers ■ and orange blossom. A necklet of moonstones was her only ornament, and she carried a fragrant bouquet of lily-of-the-valley. The attendant maids were Miss Nonnio Griffiths (sister of the bride) and Miss Patricia Rogers (of Hamilton, cousin of the bride), and a little flower girl, Patricia Warnock. Their dainty frocks were of primrose organdie over leaf green taffeta, fashioned alike, in period design, | fluted frills edging the square nc-ek-lincs, sleeves, and skirts. A distinctive note was given to each gown by a different coloured sash tying behind in a largo bow and trailing ends —pale green, mauve, and wisteria blue—to tone with each posy.of yellow, mauve, and blue primroses. Their largo picturo hats, smartly tilted, were of crinoline lace organdie of the palest green, and trimmed with leaf green velvet. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Geoffrey Eix-Trott (Hamilton) as best man, and Mr. Wj'nnc Griffiths- (New Plymouth) as groomsman. Mr. Arthur Griffiths, Mr. Colin Strong, and Mr. Erie Robbing were the ushers. The reception was held at."Barton." the residence of the bride's parents, where-a wealth of lovely flowers filled all the rooms.
