A SMALL FIRE

At 9.20 this morning the Tire Brigade received a Call to the residence of the Minister of Finance (the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates) where an outbreak had occurred in the sitting-room. The fire, -which was caused by an electric radiator setting alight to some furniture, was Quickly extinguished with chemicals, and little damage was done. Mr. Coates left on Tuesday to attend the first meeting of the Waitangi National Trust Board, but Mrs. Coates and family were at home when the lire occurred.
