CASE OF JOHN FARROW

LOS ANGELES, March 27. John Farrow, the Australian writer and actor, charged with violating the Federal immigration laws, was on Monday granted five years probation by Judge Hollizor, who said that at the end of that time Farrow might enter a plea of not guilty to clear his record. The Court criticised the arrest by tho immigration officer and recommended that Farrow should not be deported. The Court also called attention to the protest on behalf of Farrow by the British Consul, Mr. Gurney, to the British Ambassador at Washington.
