Popular reactions everywhere prove the nation's entire endorsement of the decision to withdraw from the League of Xatious. The vernacular newspapers unanimously express satisfac-. tion, as being tho only course possible. They are convinced that time will show that Japan's actions in Manchuria, were unselfish and in. furtherance of the peace of the Orient.
The sole note of bravado is attributed to members of the navy regarding the suggestion that Japan must abandon the mandated islands. "Let whoever wauts them try to get them," they say.
