PAEKAKARIKI GREEN

The principal work in the construction of the bowling green at Paekakariki has now been completed. During the weekend the ground was given a final topdressing, with soil from the Hutt Valley, and the seed was planted in time to catch the autumn growth. The work was commenced last year £y Mr. W. Hone, who carried out improvements on the Kelburn green, and he has been assisted throughout by members of the committee. It is anticipated that the green will be ready for play early next season.
