MURRAY CREEK REPORT.

The progress report of Murray Creek Gold Mining Co., Ltd., states that the company had purchased a 60 h.p. steam boiler from the Kanieri Sawmilling Co;, at Kanieri, but owing to a bridge on the Murray Creek Eoad having been found defective and requiring repairing, the transportation of this plant has been held up pending the bridge being made safe. Fahey Bros., Kumara, brought up the first load on March 24, weighing about 5% tons, and it was delivered at the mine without much difficulty. Recent repairs to the road by the Inangahua County Council were found to be very satisfactory. By the end of this week it is anticipated the whole of this boiler-plant will be delivered at the company's main shaft. Active mining operations will then be commenced.
