DTOTEDIN, March 25.
The deciding cricket match for the Dunedin cricket championship was played in rain today between Carisbrook and Albion, each side requiring a four-point win to decide the issue. Albion made 31 and 197 (Shepherd 122; Dunning, eight wickets for 08), and Carisbrook replied with 64 and 167 for five wickets, thus winning the championship. Carisbrook passed Albion's score with fifteen minutes to spare.
AUCKLAND. March 26. In the final day's p] a y of the Auckland cricket championship, Parnell, 252 for sis
declared, beat University, 108 (Bush 42 not out). Eden, ISS (L. E. Vivian 64, Sncdden eight wickets for 49), beat Ponsonby, U3 and 61 for three wickets. Grafton, 251, beat King's Old • Boys, 61 and 78 (McMillan 41, Kerr five for 17). North Shore, 351 for five wickets declared, beat V.M.C.A., 107 (Saunders five wickets for 47 and 122 for five; Sutherland 44 not out). Parnell won the championship by a margin of 14 points, Grafton being runners-up.
