CAMPBELL—HOLMES

The wedding was solemnised recently at St. David's Church, Petone, of Marjorie Catherine, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Holmes, Armidale Street, Petone, and James Lbchart Campbell, of Dysart, Scotland, and a well-known Petone and' Wellington representative Soccer player. The ceremony was performed by the Eey. J. C. Loan, and Mrs. H. Green presided at the organ. * . . "

The bride,, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful gown of ivory satin beaute, with veil and orange blossoms; and carried a sheaf of, white gladioli. The bridesmaid, Miss Marjorie Parrant, wore a gown of geranium red panne velvet with cape trimmed with white fur. Her hat was of white felt. She carried a bouquet of Ted anemones. The two small flower-girls, Pamela Parrant and Thelma Stott, were daintily.attired in long white■ panne velvet frocks, 'and wore Juliet caps relieved with. small red flowers. They carried baskets of red flowers. Mr. Marshall ,Craik acted as best .man. Two white >atm horseshoes were given the bride by Phoebe Lawson and Betty Christie. As .tie bridal party .left the cnurch the Pipe Band played, and also on their arrival at the reception, which was held' in the P.W.M.C. Social Hall, •where about 120 guests' were- entertained. ' Mrs. Holmes (mother of the bride) wore a frock of navy and floral crepe marocain and a .hat to match. She carried a posy of red and apricot shaded flowers. Mrs. Allison, who ■ represented the bridegroom's mother, wore a frock of black satin and lace and a black hat. Her posy was of pink and pale orange flowers. During the evening musical items were given by Mesdames Munro, G. Adams, Holmes (jun.), Messrs. J. Campbell and Denman. Dancing was also enjoyed. The bride and bridegroom left later for the south, the bride wearing a smart Lido blue costume, a Bussian fitch fur and a grey felt hat. '
