WEDDINGS
DYKES—WESTLAND
A quiet wedding took place at Seatoun recently when Hilary Frances, 6nly daughter of the late Mrs. C. J. Westland, of Seatoun, formerly of Glenmuiek, Cheviot, was married to Francis Eichard Dykes, of Taradale, eldest son of Mrs. B. Dykes, of Moreton, England.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a becoming, frock of white and gold mariette with full gored skirt inset with tiny frilled pleatings, and rhat to tone. She carried an armlet of cream roses and fern. Mr. Walter Jensen, of Masterton, was best man.
The guests were received by Miss Fisher, of Christchurch, aunt of the bride, who wore a handsome gown of autumn-tone foulard with sable stole and bouquet to tone. Mrs. Alan Westland, ofl Glenmuick, wore a s,mart ensemble of." brown marocain. Mrs. Gavin Dykes, aunt of the bridegroom, was, in black lace and georgette. .
The bride travelled in a smart brown, tailored costume with brown felt hat and silver fox fur.
