ENTERPRISE REWARDED

Setting out j with an outright win in view, and taking the bold step of sending their opponents in to bat first, Wellington maintained the strong grip they secured on their game with Institute when it was commenced a fortnight ago by securing a ten-wickets win with»an hour to spare at Kelburn- Park on Saturday. On, the first day Wellington passed their opponents' total with four wickets to spare, and declared their innings closed to enable Institute to commence^ their second innings right away on Saturday. Thanks to another fine bowling performance by E. D. Bhmdell, Institute were again disposed of cheaply, being all out at 4 o'clock for 106 runs. Bluhdell commenced to collect wickets from the start, and, when he took three wickets for no runs in one of his early overs, had then taken five for 8. Morgan's slows accounted for most of the remaining wickets, but Blundell disposed of the last man, and his figures then read 15.3 overs, 4 maidens, 6 wickets,.36 runs. Morgan gave able support in taking three for 12 off seven overs, two of which were maidens. The only Institute batsman to make any stand against the attack was T. Tucker, who was unbeaten with 38 .when the last wicket fell. Morgan and Foley fcommeneed Wellington's second innings at 4.10 p.m., requiring 104 runs for a win, and then proved equal to the task, stumps being drawn when they had put on 107 at 5.30 p.m. Morgan was the more enterprising of the pair, Foley pursuing his customary unhurried way. Morgan's powerful drives were repeatedly executed to good effect, and were responsible for the majority of the eleven 4's which were included in the score. Details:—
