It is reported " that ' the Riccarton owner-trainer, Gv Murray, Aynsley, has taken a couple pi youngsters in hand, one being a colt by' Night Raid from Liege. Lady, and the other by Polazel from^Disdainful (the dam, of Meprisant).

The Night Raid colt, who will race as Liege Lordi is a well-grown customer who may require time to furnish. His owner recently stated that he was by way of an experiment, as he purchased Liege Lady on her pedigree as representing staying blood. She is by Paladin (imp.) from Strona. (imp.) by Stornbway from Dark Blue, by Dark Ronald from Edict, by Diamond Jubilee from Decree Nisi, by Wisdoml She was bred by the late Mr. J. IP. "Buchanan (owner of Martian), who imported her dam Strona frohi" England. She was never raced.
